The table below must be completed against what the finished site actually sets, once analytics and the consent tool are installed. A cookie policy listing cookies the site does not set, or omitting ones it does, is worse than none. The consent mechanism must genuinely block non-essential cookies before consent rather than set them and ask afterwards.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your device on a later visit. Some are needed for the site to work at all. Others exist to measure how the site is used. This policy covers cookies and any similar technology such as local storage.
Our position on non-essential cookies
Non-essential cookies are not set until you have agreed to them. If you decline, the site works normally and we simply do not measure your visit. You can change your choice at any time using the link at the bottom of this page.

Use the cookie settings link in the footer of any page to change your preference. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to refuse them altogether. Doing so will not prevent you using this site.
How this relates to POPIA
Where a cookie collects information that can identify you, that information is personal information under POPIA, and our privacy policy explains how we handle it. Consent given through the cookie banner can be withdrawn at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything already lawfully processed.
